As founder of The Data Compliance Builders, I help organisations bridge the gap between technology and compliance. Not as a theoretical exercise, but as something that genuinely works — in the day-to-day practice of your organisation.

I began my career as a lawyer specialising in privacy, IT law and intellectual property. I then spent years as a board-level privacy consultant and implementation lead at major Dutch and international organisations: Ahold Delhaize, IKEA, Essent, Evides, the Municipality of Amsterdam, the AFM and Control Union. That trajectory — from legal counsel to hands-on implementation at some of the largest organisations in the Netherlands — is the core of what I bring to every engagement.

I don't believe in compliance as a paper exercise. What I build is meant to work: management systems your organisation actually uses, that hold up under audit scrutiny and that you can carry independently. Pragmatic, future-proof and always translated into the daily practice of your organisation.
